4 Signs You Should Call a Plumber
January 30, 2018
It sucks when faucets leak, toilets clog, or your water heater floods your garage. While some things can be fixed without expert help, it is important to know when a professional is ultimately going to save you more money than doing it yourself. Let’s get into it so you can make the right decision for your plumbing situation.
#1: LEAKING FAUCETS
Obviously, a leaking faucet is an annoyance to anyone, but most importantly, it’s a money drainer. It doesn’t seem like that occasional dripping is going to mean anything, but it really has a massive effect on water usage in your home. When your leaking faucet is left unattended, it can only get worse and you will continuously waste your hard earned money so don’t hesitate. Call a plumber.
#2: CLOGGED TOILETS
Yes, clogged toilets are often cured with your run of the mill plunger. However, if you are finding that your toilets are getting clogged every other day, bigger issues may be afoot in your home and you should definitely get it checked out. Call a plumber.
#3: WATER HEATER PROBLEMS
No one prefers to go to work un-showered, but that is what’s going to happen if you experience water heater problems and try to fix it on your own. Most water heater crises occur because no one reports problems before they occur. If your water doesn’t consistently heat to the right temperature, makes strange noises, or if it’s leaking from the base, stop what you’re doing and call the plumber.
#4: YOUR WATER SMELLS BAD
Water shouldn’t smell bad, period. If you notice that it is, however, you have a big problem. This could mean anything from clogged drainage or leaking drain pipes. This is definitely a situation where professional help can save you a lot of hassle, a lot of damage, and a lot of money. Don’t hesitate and call your plumber.
When you notice something wrong with your plumbing, it’s better safe than sorry. You might just have a leaking pipe, but you might have something much more severe. Avoid costly repairs like slab leaks, or bathtubs collapsing through the floor (yes we’ve seen this happen). Be proactive rather than reactive… give us a call, we’re ready to help!
